“Tien Square天场” 乐队由五位成员组成。他们5人均从国内数一数二的音乐学院毕业，主修中国古典乐器。音乐宗旨是创作具有中国特色的纯音乐，把爵士乐与中国的音乐融会贯通，将中国的爵士音乐推至新的境界。主要创作由乐队的钢琴手孔宏伟(金佛)来担任。

孔宏伟的绰号是金佛，1966年生在一个民乐世家，自幼便随父亲学习笙和唢呐；12岁考入中央音乐学院附中后转修钢琴，而大学的专业则是作曲，而当他开始接触爵士乐并疯狂的迷恋其中却已经是22岁的时候了。80年代末正是西方现代文化大量流入中国之际，在聆听了大量唱片和细致钻研了爵士和声后，再加上10年演奏钢琴的深厚技术基础，孔宏伟已经由“中国第一位爵士钢琴演奏者”进化为“中国最优秀的爵士钢琴演奏家”了。
从ALAS Jazz Band到“天场”乐队再到“节奏之犬”，这些北京最负盛名的爵士乐队中你都可以找到孔宏伟的身影，而声名在外的他亦频频为圈内各路明星邀请参加专辑的录制以及在现场乐队的键盘手。唱片方面，1995年他所在的天场乐队发行了《Made In China》，作为中国第一张爵士音乐唱片饱受好评；而1999年几乎是天场原班人马重组的节奏之犬同名唱片又得以发行。
“Tien Square天场” 乐队的首张音乐创作专辑Made in China 是由美国著名爵士乐手Dan Siegel 监制。他们的音乐特别之处在于将中国曲调配上西方编曲，再以爵士风格演绎，
达到了中西融会的效果，“Tien Square天场” 的音乐可以说是将中国的音乐带到了一个新的领域。
1996年1月Made in China专辑在亚洲发行，就引起了媒体的关注，在香港爵士音乐排行榜荣登榜首。为配合发行去澳大利亚做巡回演出，同年5月，参加香港音乐节，接受CNN专访。11月参加北京爵士音乐节，被媒体称为最好的最具有创造力的乐队。
2000年8月，受中央电视台邀请，参加在英国举办的[为中国喝彩]大型晚会。

曾担任多部电影配乐工作 (“双瞳”、“我的美丽与哀愁”、“只要为你活一天”等)的音乐家李欣芸，也在两首歌曲 (夏天、飞翔) 中贡献了优美的钢琴与大提琴旋律，不只型塑专辑更显完整，也使929的首张专辑更为动听。包装设计是由萧青阳 (唱片包装设计)操刀，他提供了撞球时钟的创意，将929作品中关于时间的主题延伸至影像与包装之中，封底和内页所有的雕刻与绘画则是Bass手嘟嘟的艺术创作，每一件都使人惊艳，萧青阳笑说，还是第一次做过这么有艺术感的摇滚乐唱片设计。
